SPACE SHIFT KEYING FOR LOS COMMUNICATION AT MMWAVE FREQUENCIES

Category : Communication

Sub Category : MIMO

Project Code : ITCM11

Project Desc : We use space shift keying (SSK), which is the simplest form of spatial modulation (SM), to present and analyze the idea of spatial modulation in line-of-sight (LOS) conditions. We show that SSK can operate effectively in LOS conditions provided that the antennas are properly placed at TX and RX such that a high-rank LOS-MIMO channel is constructed.

LINEAR PRECODING FOR MIMO WITH LDPC CODING AND REDUCED COMPLEXITY

Category : Communication

Sub Category : MIMO-LDPC

Project Code : ITCM12

Project Desc : In this paper, the problem of designing a linear precoder for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems employing Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes is addressed under the constraint of minimizing the dependence between the system receiving branches, thus reducing the relevant transmitter and receiver complexities.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF MIMO OFDM SYSTEMS IN ON-SHIP BELOW-DECK ENVIRONMENTS

Category : Communication

Sub Category : OFDM

Project Code : ITCM13

Project Desc : Below-deck compartments on naval vessels provide a challenging environment for wireless networks. The metallic walls of the compartments produce multiple reflections that can degrade signal integrity. Between compartments, the metal bulkheads impede the propagation of electromagnetic waves, limiting network connectivity.

TO COOPERATE OR NOT TO COOPERATE: AN OUTAGE ANALYSIS OF INTERFERENCE-LIMITED WIRELESS NETWORKS.

Category : Communication

Sub Category : RELAY

Project Code : ITCM14

Project Desc : Cooperative communication is an effective technique which provides diversity gains to combat the attenuation of radio signals caused by fading and path loss. By sharing each cooperative node antenna to form a virtual antenna array, the reliability of the wireless transmission can be significantly improved.

POWER CONTROL AND ASYMPTOTIC THROUGHPUT ANALYSIS FOR THE DISTRIBUTED COGNITIVE UPLINK

Category : Communication

Sub Category : CRN

Project Code : ITCM15

Project Desc : This paper studies optimum power control and sum rate scaling laws for the distributed cognitive uplink. It is first shown that the optimum distributed power control policy is in the form of a threshold based water-filling power control.

CHANNEL MODEL FOR SATELLITE COMMUNICATION LINKS ABOVE 10GHZ BASED ON WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION

Category : Communication

Sub Category : MIMO

Project Code : ITCM16

Project Desc : Modern satellite communication networks will employ frequencies above 10GHz. At these frequency bands, rain attenuation is the dominant fading mechanism. In this paper, a novel channel model, a synthesizer for generating rain attenuation time series for satellite links operating at 10GHz and above is presented.

ON THE OUTAGE PERFORMANCE OF SELECTION AMPLIFY-AND-FORWARD RELAYING SCHEME

Category : Communication

Sub Category : RELAY

Project Code : ITCM17

Project Desc : In this letter, we propose a selection amplify-and forward (AF) relaying scheme which has the lower outage probability than that of a conventional AF relaying scheme in cooperative relay networks. In real wireless environments, as the channel of source-to-destination (SD) link varies with an increase in time.

DYNAMIC SUBCARRIER COORDINATE INTERLEAVING FOR EAVESDROPPING PREVENTION IN OFDM SYSTEMS

Category : Communication

Sub Category : OFDM

Project Code : ITCM18

Project Desc : In this letter, a novel anti-eavesdropping OFDM system through dynamic subcarrier coordinate interleaving is proposed by exploiting the reciprocal, location-dependent and time-varying nature of wireless channels.

ANALYSIS OF THE POWER AMPLIFIER NONLINEARITY ON THE POWER ALLOCATION IN COGNITIVE RADIO NETWORKS

Category : Communication

Sub Category : CRN

Project Code : ITCM19

Project Desc : The interference to the primary receiver (PR) is a critical issue in the resource allocation of cognitive radio (CR) networks. For instance, the nonlinearity of the power amplifier (PA) causes nonlinear interference to the PRs.

ON SIGNAL DETECTION IN THE PRESENCE OF WEAKLY CORRELATED NOISE OVER FADING CHANNELS

Category : Communication

Sub Category : CRN

Project Code : ITCM20

Project Desc : In cognitive radio networks, in order to avoid interference form secondary users to the primary license holders of the spectrum, reliable spectrum sensing is necessary. In scenarios where the noise samples are correlated.
